CALL FOR UNDERGRADUATE ARCHITECTURE STUDENTS - LIMA , PERU

Are you an architecture undergraduate student based in Lima, Peru with interest in research, child-friendly cities, participatory design, urban design or inclusive cities?

Do you want to be part of a PhD research project and have your say on rethinking the public spaces of the city in Lima?

Then we are looking for you!

As an architecture student, you can get involved in two ways.

HOW CAN I PARTICIPATE?

As a workshop participant, you will be asked to take part in a “model-making” activity, working in groups with children, and design practitioners.

This is a valuable opportunity to ‘play’, get rid of any preconception idea and to open your mind to the possibility of being changed and challenged by the children’s opinions.

What will I be asked to do as a workshop participant?

Workshop Participant

As a volunteer researcher, you will be asked to take part in different stages of the data collection or processing according to your preferences.

Activities may include, on-site data collection, urban blueprint drawing, assisting on workshops and interviews with children, etc.

WILL I GET SOMETHING AS A VOLUNTEER RESEARCHER OR WORKSHOP PARTICIPANT?

However, we can offer:

  1. The possibility of being involved in a research that will be presented and discussed at an international level. In this regard, I will include your name as part of the collaboration team.

  2. A letter certifying your participation, the kind of work you were involved in, as well as the number of hours you volunteered.

  3. Advisory on research methodology regarding any project you are involved in. (e.g. End of Career Project, Thesis, etc.)
