The research intends to explore children and young people’s understandings and everyday experiences of happiness and wellbeing and how these may be related, linked or informed by their public urban environment.

It aims to understand and address important concerns, such as low levels of mental health within young people, lack of quality of the proposed urban environment, compare different levels of civil engagement with the community and the city, and look at the city as an inclusive positive boost agent instead of a fragmented one.
