CALL FOR ARCHITECTURE, URBANISM AND DESIGN PRACTITIONERS - LIMA , PERU
Are you an architecture, urbanism, or design practitioners based in Lima, Peru with interest in research, child-friendly cities, participatory design, urban design or inclusive cities?
Do you want to be part of a PhD project research and have your say on rethinking the public spaces of the city in Lima?
Then we are looking for you!
As an architecture practitioner, you can get involved in two ways.
HOW CAN I PARTICIPATE?
As a workshop participant, you will be asked to take part in a “model-making” activity, working in groups with children, and design practitioners.
This is a valuable opportunity to ‘play’, get rid of any preconception idea and to open your mind to the possibility of being changed and challenged by the children’s opinions.
What will I be asked to do as a workshop participant?
Interviews aim to go through important concepts such as public space and happiness, as well as opinions regarding, the City of Lima, the real estate current market, and the current government policies.
As one of the research scopes is to inform policy and practice, about the possibilities of considering the key factor of happiness and positive wellbeing for design and urbanism purposes, I am sure that as a practitioner and specialist in the field your opinion will be extremely valuable.

WILL I GET SOMETHING IF I AGREED TO BE INTERVIEWED OR AS A WORKSHOP PARTICIPANT?
As this is a Ph.D. research, we don't have much budget for participants.
However, we can offer:
The possibility of being involved in a research that will be presented and discussed at an international level. In this regard, I will include your name as part of the consulted specialists.
A letter certifying your participation.
The possibility of further collaboration on publications and presentations.
